Will the dried flowers and leaves in the envelopes fall out when I mail them?

Our Lokta paper envelopes are carefully crafted to hold the natural botanical inclusions – the cornflower petals – securely. The paper used in our Lokta Paper Letter Writing Set is very durable and has a lovely texture that grips the fibers. While each envelope is unique with its natural elements, they are designed for mailing. We recommend hand-canceling at the post office if you're concerned about rough handling during machine sorting, but generally, they hold up beautifully for standard mail.

Can I actually write on this Lokta paper, or is it too delicate with the plant bits?

Absolutely! The Lokta paper is surprisingly robust and has a smooth yet textured feel, making it a joy to write on. It's perfectly suited for various inks, including fountain pens and calligraphy, without bleeding. The natural plant inclusions are embedded within the paper, so you'll have a beautiful visual element without compromising your writing surface. The deckled edges add a rustic charm.

What makes this Lokta paper set eco-friendly, and is it good for gifting to someone who cares about the environment?

This letter writing set is a fantastic choice for eco-conscious gifting! The Lokta paper is made from the bark of the Himalayan Lokta shrub, which is sustainably harvested and regrows quickly, making it tree-free. The entire production process is biodegradable and ethically done by traditional artisans. The natural botanical inclusions are also exactly that – natural. It’s a thoughtful and unique gift that tells a story of sustainability and handcrafted beauty.
